It is with sadness that we share the news of the demise of Alhaj Murrabi Mohamed Gulamhussein Dhirani who passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021, in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania and will be buried on Monday, January 4, 2021, after Zohr Salaat (Dar-es-Salaam time)
Marhum served as the Chairman of the Africa Federation and as President of Dar-es-Salaam Jamaat.
Marhum was the son of Marhum Gulamhussein and Marhuma Sakina, husband of Marhuma Rukia. Marhum was the brother of Zehra Hasham (New York), Marhuma Rukia, Marhum Gulamhassan (Sheni), Marhum Ali Asgar, Marhum Dr. Mushtaqhussein. Marhum was the father of Fatim Khamis (Madagascar), Murtaza Dhirani (New York), Parvez Dhirani (Virginia), Sukayna Baker (New York). Marhum was also the father-in-law of Marhum Mohamedraza Khamis, Kellie Dhirani, Shabbir Master Baker. Marhum was the grandfather of Masuma Fazal (Orlando), Minhaal, Soleyla, Adam, Mohamedbaqir and Mazhar & grandfather-in-law of Mohamedabbas Fazal, Sayyada Anis Rawji.
The Secretariat conveys its sympathies and heartfelt condolences to the family.
May Almighty Allah (swt) rest the Marhum’s departed soul in eternal peace in Jannah and give the family the fortitude to bear this monumental loss – Ameen.
