It is with sadness that we share the news of the demise of Naznin Banu Remtulla in Toronto.
She is the daughter of Marhum Alhajj Mohamed Jaffer Bahadurali Mawji and Marhuma al hajjiani Laila Gulam Hussein Nasser Mawji. She is the wife of Nissar Ali Remtulla of Toronto. Mother of Ali Remtulla of Toronto and Aliya Worthington of Toronto and grandmother of Ali Aman, Alisha, Malaika, Sophia, Naila, Hamza and Laila.
She is the sister of Nusratali Jaffer of Toronto, Sahera Nasser of Houston, Munira Alimohamed of Toronto, Ashraf Jaffer of Edmonton and Sabira Devjee of Edmonton.
Salāt al-Mayyit will be at the Jaffari Community Centre today, Thursday, March 26th, at 11:30 am, then will proceed to Behishte Zahra (101 Senlac Road) for burial.
In light of the current health and safety measures mandated by the local authorities, we request only relatives to attend Salāt al-Mayyit and the burial. For those unable to attend in person, we will be broadcasting the program live from the centre for mu’mīnīn to participate remotely.
Mu’mīnīn attending the funeral will be requested to refrain from any physical contact (shaking hands, embracing) and ensuring that they respect the social distancing requirements.

We pray to Allah (SWT) to grant Marhuma maghferat and place his soul amongst the blessed ones in the vicinity of Chaharada Masumeen (AS) and who continuously receives mercy and grace of Allah (SWT) – Ameen.
