We would like to thank all the donors who have generously contributed to NASIMCO’s Rohingya Emergency Appeal. To date, we have raised $59,641 Canadian and $2680 US.
As a result of the generosity of so many concerned individuals, we have been able to provide 1145 families with food packages that will feed them for one month. While we are proud of this achievement, we remain cognizant that with 400,000 refugees in Bangladash, this is only a drop in the bucket in comparison to the sheer need.
We are partnering with two organizations that are already established there and have their people working on the ground. Collectively, they are serving Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh and internally displaced Rohingyas in Myanmar.
Our partners have confirmed that they are able to feed many more families provided they have the funds available to do it. As a result, we are expanding our Rohingya Emergency Appeal. We urge you to open your hearts and donate more. Every $45 given will provide a family with a 40kg food basket that will feed a family of 5 for a month.

On September 30, 2017, $25,000 of the money raised was given from the children of our community to the children of Rohingya
On September 29, 2017, NASIMCO held a cheque presentation with the Nudba group, which managed to raise $17,000 for the Rohingya Emergency Appeal. We are proud of the Nudba group which has mobilized itself to help many need families in the GTA and internationally.
